I’m excited about my trip to London this weekend to the Home Education Fair, hopefully to meet lots of parents keen to find out about an alternative to what’s on offer as education in schools!
For those of you who didn’t see my blog last week, this is a little event on Saturday 18th Sept, from 2-5, at Westbourne Grove, W11 2RW, (in the church building) for parents who want support with home education or to find out a little more about it if you’re considering it.
There will be information and literature from the leading home education support charities and a chance to meet practising families, me included. Although, now our children have grown, a year has gone without it and I miss it!
I can’t believe that. Can’t believe that it is my children’s lifetime away since we made what seemed like such a mammoth decision at the time.
Home education remained a sweet, liberating and joyous experience throughout that we never once regretted. And I’m so pleased to be able to show that there are other ways to educate children than school ways and that children can develop as intelligent, balanced, articulate, sociable and well educated even without schooling processes. There are increasing numbers of children who are living proof.
Hope you can make it!
